Planning is engaged in a wide range of community development service activities related to subdivision, zoning, environmental, long range comprehensive planning, special projects, intergovernmental coordination, grants, and public involvement.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Yakima County Commissioners will conduct a public hearing to receive public comments on the 2016 UGA amendments to Yakima County's Comprehensive Plan - Plan 2015 and development regulations.  Public Comments on the proposed amendments will be considered at the hearing as indicated below:

Planning Division Sections

Environmental

The Environmental Section of Planning administers the Yakima County Critical Areas Ordinance, Regional Shoreline Master Program and the Washington State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA)

Long Range Planning

The Long Range Planning Section is responsible for the maintenance of the Yakima County Comprehensive Plan and the formulation and amendment of county land use regulations

Zoning & Subdivision

The Zoning & Subdivision Section works with the implementation of the Comprehensive Plan and Development Regulations by administering Title 19
