Hourly Wage: $9.54 per hour
There are Patient openings with the Yakima County Department of Emergency Medical Services. These are extra help, intermittent on-call openings. Duties include self moulage, role play, follows the instructors lead and recommendations. This person facilitates the EMT practical station by pretending to be a prehospital patient with various signs and symptoms. This recruitment may be used to fill extra help, intermittent on-call openings that may occur in the 90 days after closing.
Essential Job Functions:
Prepare Practical Station(s) - set up proper gear and room setup, design.
Place Moulage – Reads scenario and places moulage according to scenario description.
Role-Play Given Scenario – Maintains character role throughout scenario.
Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions: Position requires driving to training sites; care and alertness when in training,
mobility, stooping, kneeling, crawling, crouching, reaching, standing, handling of objects, grasping,
feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Rated as Medium work with lifting up to 50
Equipment Used: Moulage and patient clothing. Reading prepared scenario.
Knowledge of: (Upon entry)
Basic knowledge in emergency medical services;
Skills in: (Upon entry)
Ability to role-play;
Communication skills, both oral and written;
Experience & Training
High School Diploma or GED and any combination of experience or training related to the position which provides the knowlege, skill and abilities sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
Current WA State driver’s license
EMT program experience
Drama courses and/or experience
