Incident Reported:         Missing Hunter / Follow-up

Narrative: 

As the Search continued into day 2.  New information was received that the subject preferred to hunt “Below the snow line.” A new search area was established in the Cowiche basin. 
The basin was the other hunting area close by that was open to this Bow hunt.

SAR base camp was set up on the Cowiche Mill rd. at the end of the pavement.  5 search teams were deployed into the area covering from Hwy 12 (Jump off Joe) to the Cowiche mill rd.
As the search was ongoing the Sheriff’s Office received information from a citizen back in the Rimrock area they believed they located the subject.

Search teams along with Naches Fire Department responded to the FS # 1201 where the subject was located.  He was confused and cold.  The subject was treated at the scene and then transported by ambulance to Yakima Regional Hospital. At the ER he was reunited with his wife. They were very thankful to ALL the Searchers.
