GWAC
The purpose of the GWAC is to chart the direction and actions of the groundwater program by working collaboratively with Yakima County and other key agencies to implement strategies to achieve the goal of reducing nitrate concentrations in groundwater.

GWAC Responsibilities
- Oversee the development of the groundwater management program
- Review the work plan, schedule and budget for the development of the program
- Assure that the program is technically and functionally sound
- Verify the program is consistent the respective authorities of the affected agencies
- Formulate and implement a public involvement plan
Meetings
The GWAC met for the first time on June 5, 2012 and has held meetings regularly to develop the Lower Yakima Valley Groundwater Management Program. Currently the GWAC meets the 3rd Thursday of every month unless otherwise notified.Radio KDNA
