Groundwater Management Area

Purpose


The purpose of the Groundwater Management Area is to reduce the nitrate contamination concentrations in groundwater below state drinking water standards.


The final meeting of the Lower Yakima Valley Groundwater Advisory Committee (GWAC) will be held Thursday, June 20, 2019. The purpose is to formally complete the GWMA program process. The final GWMA program under review can be viewed here:
