  • Description of Project: Apple Tree Construction Company, LLC - Subdivision (Long Plat). The applicants are proposing a 22-lot subdivision in the Single-Family Residential (R-1) zoning district, under the project name of Golden Ridge Phase 1. The development is for single-family residences. All lots are proposed to connect to Nob Hill Water and City of Yakima Sewer. A private, gated  roadway is proposed to serve the lots. A separate phase of the project is to occur on a neighboring parcel that is under the City of Yakima's jurisdiction.

  • Description of Project: The applicant is proposing a minor rezone of the subject 0.94 acre parcel from Single-Family Residential (R-1) to Two-Family Residential (R-2) to allow land use consideration for multi-family development. In consolidation with this proposal, the applicant has also submitted a Conditional Use Permit for a 16-unit multi-family development. The City of Selah water and sewer are proposed to serve this project. Access is proposed onto Taylor Loop Road.

  • Description of Project: The proposal is for a Type 3 plat amendment of the Martinez Subdivision in the Agriculture (AG) zoning district. The original plat included eight clustered lots (Lots 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10) and two remaining large lots (Lots 1 and 7). The intent of this plat amendment is to rearrange the parcel lines of the existing small lots, which will result in the smaller lots with frontage on Glade Road. Two 60' wide access easements and several utility easements are proposed to be vacated. Two new 35' wide access easements are proposed to be dedicated to serve the clustered lots. A new 30’ access and utility easement is proposed through Lot 1 to provide access to Lot 7. A resource setback reduction is also requested from the AG zoned parcels to the west and south for the reconfigured small lots.

  • Description of Project: The proposal is to expand the existing J Bell Winery into a Resort Agricultural Tourist Operation within the AG zoning district on an 11.97-acre parcel (201116-43016) and to add an additional/expanded septic system, if needed, on an adjacent 17.66-acre parcel (201116-42011). The Resort ATO would be developed in phases over 10 years to include a lounge/private club area, restaurant, multi-use/event space, events/weddings, classes, lavender distillery, hard liquor distillery, wellness cottages, and 25 overnight cabins with one parking space each. Up to 12 employees during any given shift are anticipated. The existing water system will be converted from a Group B system to a Group A system. The existing septic system will be evaluated and expanded as necessary. An on-premises directional sign measuring 4’ by 5’ and 7’ high is proposed.

  • Description of Project: Black Rock Solar - Power Generating Facility - Applicant proposes to develop the Black Rock Solar Energy Project (CUP2021-00038/SEP2021-00033), a utility-scale, photovoltaic solar power plant on approximately 1,060 acres within the Agriculture (AG) zoning district. The applicant has identified a smaller buildable area (640 acres) based on avoidance of sensitive natural and cultural resources, and the overall slope and

 aspect of the project. Design for the project has begun but construction is anticipated to begin in 2023. The design is being evaluated so it could also accommodate sheep grazing.
