If you need jury service verification for your employer, ask the Jury Administrator (or your Bailiff) and it will be provided for the specific date(s) and time(s) you were
required to report.
If you are an employer and request information on the date(s) and time(s) an employee was
required to report for Jury Duty, please contact the Jury Administrator. Jurors are instructed to "not discuss the case" to which they are assigned. The Jury Administrator can provide you with an anticipated length of time a specific Juror's time of service is required, as some cases may run longer than 10 business days.
Yakima County Employees
Please notify your Department Head
prior to the beginning date of your jury service. All authorized fees for Jury Duty will be forfeited to the County by the employee, except for payment of mileage (provided you drive your personal vehicle). Payment is made to the juror/employee. It is the employee's responsibility to then submit reimbursement to the County Auditor's Office. You may wish to obtain a receipt from them once you have complied with the reimbursement of said funds. If you have other questions regarding the County Policies related to Jury Duty, please direct them to
Human Resources.
