Kids in Court
For children who must testify in criminal trials, the courtroom can feel overwhelming and intimidating. To help ease this experience, Robyn Light, former Administrator of our Victim/Witness Assistance Unit, authored Kids in Court, a child-friendly book designed to guide young victims and witnesses through what to expect. With illustrations by Ron Krebs, this resource helps children better understand the courtroom process in a gentle and approachable way.
We encourage families and caregivers to use this book as a tool to support children as they navigate the judicial system.
