Building a Safer Future: Seeking Grant Funding for a Dedicated Emergency Operations Center (EOC)

Why a Dedicated EOC?

Emergencies can strike at any time, and a well-coordinated response is crucial to protecting the lives and properties of Yakima County residents. Our community needs a dedicated Emergency Management Operations Center facility that will serve as the command hub for disaster preparedness, response, and recovery efforts.

Currently, our emergency response teams operate without a centralized, purpose-built facility, limiting efficiency during crises. With a dedicated EOC, we will have the resources needed to respond faster, coordinate better, and save lives.

Our EOC will provide:
Emergency Coordination: A central command hub for emergency management - first responders and agencies.
Advanced Communication Systems: Ensuring seamless coordination during crises.
Disaster Preparedness & Training Facilities: Equipping teams with vital resources.
Increased Community Resilience: Strengthening response and recovery efforts.

Seeking Grant Partnerships
To bring this critical project to life, we are actively seeking grant funding and strategic partnerships with organizations dedicated to disaster preparedness, emergency management, and community resilience.
