Taking care of your well can help protect your drinking water and reduce the risk of contamination. Learn how you can keep your well safe and working properly.
Know Your Well
Knowing where your well is located and how it was built can make inspections, maintenance, and repairs easier. Make sure to keep a copy of your well log, which includes details such as well depth, construction materials, and location. You can search for available well logs using the Washington State Department of Ecology Well Report Viewer.
Some wells constructed before 1973 may not have records available. If you are unable to find a well record, we may be able to help locate your well by reviewing septic system records for your property.
