Online Permitting

You can check the status of your Building Permit online by visiting aca-prod.accela.com. Our online portal, Accela Citizen Access (ACA), now allows you to submit new applications. Check our Forms & Applications for a list of available applications. 

Application payments can also be made on the ACA. The first step is to create an ACA account by visiting aca-prod.accela.com. Once you have an account, notify your Project Coordinator, and we will associate your record to your account. Check-out is a breeze!

ORDINANCE 13-2017

Yakima County Water Resource System

Effective January 1, 2018, Yakima County is required to verify evidence of adequate water supply before issuing a building permit for developments requiring potable water.

Acceptable Evidence of Legal Water Availability:

  1. Water Right Permit from the Department of Ecology, or
  2. A letter from an approved water purveyor, or
  3. A YCWRS Domestic Well Permit, or
  4. Other adequate evidence of interest in a suitable water right held for mitigation purposes by an existing water bank, or
  5. A Yakama Nation Water Code Permit (for properties within the exterior boundaries of the Yakama Nation), or
  6. Documentation proving the well site is outside the Yakima River watershed.
